It's not "personal" anymore.

Man, that sounds like my home town.Cloud Clone wrote:That's pretty annoying...I wish anime were mainstream here!![]()
I live in a town full of hicks that drink, play football, and drive trucks all the time. Nobody likes anime here except for the geekiest of the geeks! I want to find some normal people that watch anime! Go mainstreeeaaammm!!!!![]()
I have to agree with you on that. People like that annoy the hell out of me, and it would drive me crazy to have them take an "interest" in anime, if it became really popular in my area.ryuu_hime13 wrote: Makes me think of all those "punks" who suddenly emerged after Good Charlotte and Avril became cool...punks who were NSYNC fans a week earlier (literally)....

That'd be half of my school....SarahtheBoring wrote:Makes me think of people who look down on those people, thinking they're somehow more punk, when they're also rich white kids in the suburbs who think their parents are LIKE OMG TOTALLY EVIL AND STUFF.ryuu_hime13 wrote: Makes me think of all those "punks" who suddenly emerged after Good Charlotte and Avril became cool...punks who were NSYNC fans a week earlier (literally)....
Rich kids who think their parents are evil? Can't say I know many of those.
::grumbles::
There's a decent-sized anime crowd at my school...but I don't know many of them very well. Most of them are sophomores and I'm a junior (though I eat lunch with a few of them) so I don't see them much either. There are only...4 juniors besides myself who watch anime.

In a mad world, only the mad are sane.

They only liked anime because it made them noncorformists (look at the average hardcare Goth for comparison). They are sad people who believe they need something completely unique to identify themselves with. When that thing loses its uniqueness, they simply drop it and move to something else.
Sad people, but many of them exist.

Lol, well I could come back with the whole "wrong spelling of they're" but lets leave that for the forums at www.nothingbettertodowithmylife.nerdKracus wrote:I noticed that but it's not spelling it is grammar.
