I live in a town full of hicks that drink, play football, and drive trucks all the time. Nobody likes anime here except for the geekiest of the geeks! I want to find some normal people that watch anime! Go mainstreeeaaammm!!!! :cry: :cry:
Man, that sounds like my home town.

I have to agree with you on that. People like that annoy the hell out of me, and it would drive me crazy to have them take an "interest" in anime, if it became really popular in my area.

Makes me think of people who look down on those people, thinking they're somehow more punk, when they're also rich white kids in the suburbs who think their parents are LIKE OMG TOTALLY EVIL AND STUFF.

;)
That'd be half of my school....

Rich kids who think their parents are evil? Can't say I know many of those.

::grumbles::

There's a decent-sized anime crowd at my school...but I don't know many of them very well. Most of them are sophomores and I'm a junior (though I eat lunch with a few of them) so I don't see them much either. There are only...4 juniors besides myself who watch anime. :( They're all cool, though, so it's fine by me.

They only liked anime because it made them noncorformists (look at the average hardcare Goth for comparison). They are sad people who believe they need something completely unique to identify themselves with. When that thing loses its uniqueness, they simply drop it and move to something else.

Sad people, but many of them exist.

People in my hometown(chicago in general) actually like Anime/Manga. Some people don't like to do things that other people are doing. The're just estupidos (stupid in Spanish). I think anime should be a world wide hobby. That'd be pretty COOL!

In my opinion, those people never liked anime in the first place.
