What Movie should i Get?

Post by Escaflowne22 » Mon May 10, 2004 6:10 pm

I just watched the evangelion series, and was thinking about getting E.O.E, but maybe i should take a break, after being mind-f#@%^, for about two weeks..

So out of the options of,
1.Jin-Roh
2. Grave of the fireflies
3. Kenshin the motion picture (keep in mind, i haven't seen the series)4.Voices of a different star
5. Couple of the mobile suit compilation movies (since their cheap)
6. And anything else heavily reccomended

Keeping in mind i like, action, realistic, sometimes depressing and thought provoking..

Thanx for the help

lol, i did want movies but thanx for mentioning it..
Its funny you mention Gasaraki tho, because i wanted to get it a couple months ago, the animation looks amazing, but after reading more than a few reviews i got turned off, and went with "Here and there, Then and Now" (an excellent series btw).

But tell me what you like about Gasarakil and why so many people shell it..

Grave of Fireflies is an excellent choice, but it's not that action oriented. It's sorta is on Now and Then, Here and There's level.

Ninja Scroll and Blood are pretty popular. I've seen NS myself...it's all right, and it's a classic. Haven't seen Blood.

I'm not a big fan of anime movies...especially the ones based on manga. It's so hard to condense a long-running manga series, like Akira, into a movie that's only about an hour long.

You can always try some Ghibli stuff, though that isn't really "action" I liked Spirited Away.

Thanx for the reply's guys, whats that "memories" movie your talking about anyway. Thing is i was really leaning towards Jin Roh, but now i'm leaning towards, "Grave of the fireflies"

And bro, can you verify if this; http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/st ... 99-5583068

is right for a price tag on that gasaraki series, its saying their selling the whole damn thing for 28$, is this bootleg or what?? I don't wanna get the shank.
