I don't get that. If no one can read it, what's the point of writing it in an online journal?

Here - test it out. I have an entry logged on 04-24. If anyone on my list can still see it, then private means buddy.

Flint and Fyrt are both on my list, along with some others. Try it out - if you can't see it, let me know. I'm curious now if it's just some strange bug that made my friend's entries invisible until she added me to her list. ^_^;

Because I'm too lazy to write in an actual journal, and it might be something that I want to write down for reference later and don't want to forget. Or maybe somebody uses it as a catalogue. I'm sure there are more reasons.

Oh, wait, no I can't read it.

That was one that you had public before and just now marked it private, right? It's not showing up. Most recent entry is 4-17-04.

Guess that answers it, I just hit some strange bug. ^_^

Does make me wonder how Willow managed to read one of my private posts a few months back, though. o.O I still haven't ever made it public, but he read and responded to it in his own journal, so I know it was visible to at least one person - who just happened to be on my buddies list. That was the first thing to make me think private wasn't really private - because he read it when I didn't think anyone would be able to.

Go figure. ;p

i really don't understand the whole journal thing, maybe cuz i didn't have one when i was growing up, but could someone take a second to explain it to me? i made 1 entry and it was about me putting my 1st vid on the web..blahblah. now i go there and it says it has eight hits. is this like something that everyone writes on and can be viewed whenever. where do i go to view the journal?

everybody has their own journal, and only you can write in your own journal. to view or write in your journal, click the "my journal" button on the left side of the members main page. to view other people's journals, find their profile page, and click the "last journal entry" link in their profiles, or you can check out the "new journal entries" box on the right side of the members main page.

your journal isn't meant for other people to post on. if you want to have a dialogue, you can do it in the forums if it's on topic, or at demonseal or general anime if it's off topic.
