Oh, I just read what you said about Neogohan, that sucks, hopefully he'll come back with a new video someday. N e ways, The video was pretty good. I expected more effects from you though. But still a pretty good video, some parts were just cool looking and went well with part of the song and the clip shown. 8.5/10

POD ALIVE?? AAHHH WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING?!?!? Gah, i downloaded it, but i only watched it once, god that song was killed by the radio years ago, im not gonna review the video with only one watch, and im sure as hell not listening to that song again. If you didn't notice, there is like 4 new naruto videos posted here every day, its sickening. I avoid them at all cost. With only a few that i have downloaded after many recommendations (like Ninja of the night)
Im not sure what you were thinking with this combo, but im sure plenty of people will like it. As for me, well, there isn't a single AMV creator out there that doesn't have at least a video or 2 that doesn't fit my taste. Got anything else in the works?

Who needs effects? Aaron has the ability to feel the music rather then force beat matches...like his Fatboy Slim video (which isn't for downloaddrupie wrote:Oh, I just read what you said about Neogohan, that sucks, hopefully he'll come back with a new video someday. i wouldn't say i expected more effects either, sure you've used them before, but they were well done enough that they blended with the video, so they didn't stand out (that's a good thing)
but i agree that this video's originality was low
also, about the pace, yes it was slow, but i felt it was pretty consistant through the video, lol, not like boring or anything, but if you think about it, Alive is a loud song, but it's still got a semi-slow pace, so the pace matched
whenever i watch a video, i pretty much ALWAYS look for underlined messages or themes, but like you said in the video description, this is purely action synced to beats and a lyric every now and then that i found
a lot of people's videos that i watch say that they made an action video, but they still have story, so i like how this is honestly an Action video
i gave it 4 stars

drupie: Muchas gracias for the feedback. I appreciate the kind words. I know I seem to have this reputation of an effects monger, but I don't really think it's all that true. I was in an experimental phase then. In any case, as long as you thought it was a pretty good video, I'm happy. Thanks again.
eric: WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?! I WAS THINKING IT WOULD BE FUN AND IT WAS. Heh, I know you have very strong opinions man, and that's what I like about you. But in all honesty here, even if everyone at the ORG made a music video with this combination, and I still had the urge to give it a shot, I would. I'm not trying to make a statement with this video. I'm just trying to get back into the game. That's why I don't think you should take this one so seriously because yeah, I do have some other ideas in the works, ok?
Give me some time man.
Also, I thought it was cool that you backed me up in the following post, I appreciate it. I didn't realize you liked my RHRN video that much, but it means a lot now that I know. Thanks.
Daio Kaji: The pace of the song is what confuses me the most.. because my brother says that even during the verses, the song is still fast, so he said I should edit faster.. but then I got other comments saying that it's ok to slow down at those parts just as long as it's consistent. So I guess in this sense.. Alive isn't the easiest song to use, but hey, it's not like I thought about all this complexity while I was editing. I just went with the flow.
Thanks for the 4 stars dude! I completely agree with you about the action/meaning videos.. the ones where they try to do both.. but end up doing a poor job. I say, either do one way or the other.. make it clear. Some can do both really easily, but most don't.
Oh, Caldwell couldn't even answer the phone, apparently he's out with the ladies..

I go by "If you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all" which is why most of the videos here, that I have downloaded, have no opinion by me (but im just a quick browser here, i dont check all the threds). I didn't want to 'not respond' to this, so I decided to express my hate for that song. If it had been a song I didn't dispise with all my being, of course i woulda reviewed it. Even if it WAS NarutoAaron wrote:Eric: WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?! I WAS THINKING IT WOULD BE FUN AND IT WAS. Heh, I know you have very strong opinions man, and that's what I like about you.
