At least on a subjective basis, this is officially the greatest band in the universe for me (or someone like me, though such people are unlikely). 35 years, a stellar record;
probably the greatest variety of respectable musical directions ever covered by a band (from including a jazz/classical-oriented brass section to screaming whammy-bar solos backed by power-chord metal riffs) - and they invented a bunch of well-known musical directions on their own, not the least of which is symphonic/prog rock;
some of the most complex no-frills [capital-M] Music produced without pretension (with the 'rock guitar star' of the band mostly hiding on a stool in a dark spot, stage right);
one of the pioneer bands in using good electronic technology well (first front-line band to pick up the midi guitar synthesizer and the touch guitar - and STILL the only front-line band to consistently use these inventions to great effect).

I can see how people might not enjoy certain musical bits of this one, but I still refuse to admit that anyone who professes knowing something about modern music has the right to disrespect KC and its' legacy.

i havent heard much of the pixies either. i've only heard where is my mind cuz i heard it in the ending of fight club ( it was so beautiful!! ). i also no that kurt cobain was a fan of them...

Hmm kurt was a fan of the pixes thats cool and i do like manson hes cool. Nirvana is one of my favorite bands as well i like box shaped heart and lithium, smells like teen sprite, i also like weird al yankovics version of smells like teen sprite lol, and i like some other songs but i cant really think of the songs right now so o well. as for Manson hes crazy but not as crazy as Rammstein they do nasty stuff in there concerts like uranate and cum on the crowd now thats gross, and there banned from playing in Germany and America cuz of what they do but i still like band
