Yeah, I don't really think that'd be a viable idea for any of my projects. o.O I don't really go in for the big group projects (Or even watch most of them without skipping threw parts)
Though I probabbly should submit Noir Raider or Tactical Armor Down to a convention... I've only ever ONCE submitted something to a convention, all I got was an honorable mention.

- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

That would, yes I agree. However, those were just examples.DJ_Izumi wrote:So, to like... Tack on one of my trailers at the front of something like... AniMix? O.o I dunno, I'm pretty sure that'd be more like butting in on another project. -.-
If you had put your EVA thing in front of your ESWAT video then it would have been a teaser trailer right? If you put your one of your short teasers in front of one of your own videos.. then you can do whatever you want.
If you didn't want to make an epic saga of your own, I'm sure you could always to trailers for other anime... say an "animix" or "DDR23" trailer that the individual editors of those mega projects could then put in front of their own work thus, not only pimping their own hard work but showcasing your skills as well.
Lets for as a hypothetical example:
User IM_now_DOA makes a track for DDR23. He wants everyone to see it, so he puts your teaser hyping the ddr23 project in front of one of his regular videos.
Just a thought.
Just PM if you want me to expound on it.

No, we can discuss it here.
I sorta just tacked the Eva Effect teaser on my SWAT trailer to take up extra space. To place a 2min 30 second trailer infront of another project would require that was fairly long, 6-7mins minimum, otherwise it's just two videos in one file and nothing else. I'm just don't think the idea is workable, unless it's preplanned. To see the people working on a large project work together on a trailer as well, then tack them together, it'd be neat. I just don't think I could work with any of that stuff.

I'll be starting the Evangelion Effect in a couple of weeks, waiting for Evangelion: Renewal to arrive.
Tomorrow I'll have the money to do necessary system upgrades. No more 500mhz eMachine of might. An AMD Barton 3200, 1GB of 433mhz DDRAM, another 80GB hard disk and dual monitors. I was initially going to get a single 17" but I've decided to go with dual 15" screens. Currently I've been using a 14" for 5 years, it's maximum resolution is 1024x768, you can NOT run Aftereffects at that resolution. O_o

I replied earlier, but the .org ate my post. I hate when that happens.
Anyways... It looks like we're on the same page as far as the idea goes.
I agree about the time issue, that's why I was thinking of a teaser length instead of a full trailer. As for the preplanning, I don't see that as a major issue, since most of the major projects take a lot of planning anyway, and typically get built up over a longish period of time. The so called "studios" or groups of people might try something similar as a way of cross promoting each other videos... be hard to keep it from being tacky though.
I lack anything close to the skills/communication to make something like that work, but you have been around quite a bit longer and have demonstrably better skills by an order of magnitude.
Anyway, I think you have the ability to do it, but since it isn't something you are interested in I'll drop it.
