Trigun manga question

I know there are like 3 different types of Trigun manga.

One following the same story as the anime, one veering off, one making fun of the anime, one where there's an entirely new character(black vash?) etc...

My question is, of those of you who have seen the anime and read the manga(any one of them), do any of the manga series go in depth about how Vash and Knives were made or where they came from?

I always wanted to know that...

Apparently you don't know there are 3 different types of Trigun Manga. (haha! neither do I but I know that the three you list aren't the possibilities)

You best bet is to go with the Trigun Maximum by Nightow... Cause it's what's the real thing. You might even want to get the two volumes by Shonen Gahousha so you don't miss anything the anime may have skipped. Hope this helps.

Ok, I have Trigun 1-2, and Trigun Maximum 1-4 from Young King Comics.

Now, I can't read a spectacular amount of Japanese (i.e. next to none), but from what I've seen, there has been nothing about their past aside the usual flashbacks Vash has about Rem and he and Knives crashing on the planet.

Now, I am working on getting all the Trigun manga. Currently there is Trigun 1-2, and Trigun Maximum 1-9 all from Young King Comics.
Also, Darkhorse is now publishing Trigun in english. Trigun 1-2 should be available by now by Darkhorse. And yes, these are english translations of the YK Trigun 1-2. I also heard that Darkhorse plans on releasing Trigun Maximum as well.

Also, Trigun Maximum is still being serialized in Young King Ours, meaning vol. 9 is not the last one.

So as far as I know, they haven't brought up and origin stories for Vash and Knives. But then again, I haven't "read" vols 5-9.
But I do have YKO issues dating back to September 2003.

Oh, and as it was mentioned before, Trigun and Trigun Maximum are one in the same series. So don't get just one! The order as stated before: Trigun 1-2 --> Trigun Maximum 1-9+.

Currently, Trigun Maximum and Hellsing are my favorite manga series.
So that's why I get YKO, which publishes many titles including Hellsing, Trigun Maximum, Excel Saga, Pilgrim Jaeger, Geo Breeders, Napoleon, Asagiri No Miko, and many others.

That's kinda stupid.

It should go into how Vash and Knived were created. Just like the other Plant creature things.

Pretty half-assed of the writer to have some characters just ranomdly show up. ¬¬

Did you skip the part where he says a) he can't read Japanese and b) he hasn't looked at FOUR WHOLE VOLUMES?

A little quick on the flaming trigger, there, ain't ya?

At the back of Trigun 1 it says the order is Trigun 1 - 2 - Trigun Maximum. It even has a little drawing in case that's too complicated for you. Okay?

Anything else you heard of (first poster) is probably doujinshi, which are not official, being drawn by fans.

I was talking about the writer of Trigun, I read Vlad's post perfectly well.

Well, it still is possible that thier origins where explained in text, and therefore I would not have been able to read it.

However, just like the anime, most of the time is spent fighing the Gung Ho Guns and other people who have a bone to pick with Vash.

Oh, and things are WAY more graphic than the show.

One funny thing to note: after Trigun vol 2, Legato is made a cripple. Yep, he doesn't move around much, and is braced in a coffiny looking thing. And watching him eat a steak.....no table manners.

Also, some of the Gung Ho Guns are slightly different from the anime. And the fights are that much more grueling.

Vash can also apparently shoot half-way across the planet...

One big thing I noticed about Trigun #2 is that the infamous "dancing Vash" scene is all the way at the end in the extra little side-stories.
