Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Well ok then
Well I do have this program on my comp, WinMPG, that does AVI to either MPEG1, MPEG2, VCD, or DVD. Would you recomend me attempting to convert it into MPEG1 with that?? Once again, thank you.

Might I make a suggestion, I don't wanna be a jerk, but I would suggest not bashing, or making fun of someone who is trying to help. 1st, DoKool wants this thread moved because you will get more help in another section and 2. you were asking him for his help, then you bash him. Thats not a good way to make friends or get help either way.

No hes trying to help keep our forums clean and organized. And hes done way more than a 10 minute colaboration vid, some of which are very cool indeed. But on the note of your topic, I for one absolutely refuse to install that program known as Realplayer that has a twisted mind of its own. It will take over your system, no matter what you tell it not to do. Many people are the same way, so you cut out about 80-90% of your potential audience by releasing in realplayer. You would've done better to release in quicktime (please don't, its almost as bad) But take DoKools advice, check the guides, and learn to encode in Xvid. Even if you don't use it all, its still a good read to better understand how everything works. If thats still too complicated for you, then Divx is still better than the other alternatives. And easier to use than Xvid. Xvid will get you better quality of you follow the guides though.MetalGearRexMGS wrote:"prune this thread as it's gone off-topic." Right... and you think your cool because you made a video thats 10 minutes long... and not even by yourself.
If you have any aditional questions on encoding and all things video and audio after reading the guides, post them here.

ok, well, about your video, it was farely good. I thought the music fit the anime really well, but the video quality wasn't top notch. The sound quality was good though. As for the editing, I can tell it was made from Windows Movie Maker. You had Fade in from black, and fade out to black over and over again. I'd suggest using crossfades more often. Even though you used the fades over and over again, the timing was farely good and your hits were usually right on. I could see a few mis-timed hits, but they weren't off by much. Overall, if i was gonna give it a score out of a 10, i'd give it a 6. The vid quality and the repetitiveness brought it down the most.

This is awesome...
I LOVE IT! FLAME ME MORE! I WANT TO SMELL MY FLESH BURNING! Also, did I say anything about people getting my video... I think not. I just think its screwed up that I work on this video, and inform people that they cant DL it at the time, so he says im bumping; I mean it might be techniqually, but I didnt do it entintally. Also, I think it was f'ed up that he had to gripe because I made it in RM... it workes fine on my computer, and about 5 others ive watched it on, if it dosent work on his comp theres something wrong with his Real Player... not my video. =P *flame-proof*
