Even with the best filtering you could through at it, you couldn't get the old discs looking even halfway better as compared to the renewal.

To illustrate my point, look at this text graph, with data pulled completely from my ass.

1 = Old discs
2 = Old discs with damn good filtering
3 = Renewal discs

The far left of the line represents "shit quality", and the far right represents "incredible quality".

The filtering: I (yea, that angry person) said 'better' (than the original), certainly not a replacement like Zarxrax has pointed out.

Dokool: Ask Pwolf when he gets back about the filtering (he's out of town right now), he showed them to me (I think he got them from someone else though) But, I still have the pics he showed me, if you want them PM/AIM/ or e-mail me.

Um, I BELIEVE that the word "redubbing" in the subject line is used to mean "renaming", as in, "Renewal" becoming "Platinum".

Not actual re-<b>dubbing</b> the way we normally think of dubbing.

Almost reminds me of an exercise we did in Media Studies, when somebody said something like "but they had a chart, so it must be accurate!" The teacher drew a bar-graph line with random peaks and valleys, and then told us to come up with names for it. I think the most random was "Topographical Map of New Mexico."

Good times. Quite frankly, although the 're-dubbed' misunderstanding seems to have been cleared up, I actually liked the dub and wouldn't want it to be changed...

the only fucking thing their doing with new shit is pissing of the dedicated eva fans that made them rich in the first place when they spent so much money on the original release dvd and vhs. and they couldnt give a bee's dick worth of shit. as far as they care, they just want more fucking moey ? why ? thier not fucking neer bankrupt anymore or anything. in fact considering how much money is going into the live action, their the fucking opposite. their rich barstards as hell. it was ok reeleasing the reasurection dvd's as thew we're just two disks, not fucking 7. but now their just beating the fucking life out of a dead horse. fucking hell, their probably gona release fucking platinum versions of the damn movies. then their gona go and release the whole damn thing in mox set, again. fuckers

I fail to see why this should piss off anyone that already purchased the series.

You purchased the original series. You were happy. Now they make it better and sell it again. You are pissed at them because you already bought it? Or you are pissed at them because they released a better product?

By this reasoning, people should be pissed whenever a new video game system comes out, or whenever pc hardware advances.
