It had to happen. Sooner or later, someone would discover that Spaceballs had a theatrical trailer. Well, without further adu, I present you with:
Spaceballs: The Anime
I almost wish I could say there was some big dramatic story behind this video....
But that's simply not the case. All I know offhand is that I learned a lot about sync in general, and lip sync in particular.
Thank you, and enjoy!

hmmm, i wish you'd used more lip sync
i was a little dissappointed when Dark Helmet's ship went ludacris speed.. i wanted to see more there
i think the video was pretty slow-paced, but part of that could be that the original trailer was slow-paced as well, it's old, so you do what you can with what you got

While doing the lip sync, I discovered the horrors of frame-by-frame editing. In some spots the waveform was very helpful (no background sound).Daio Kaji wrote:hmmm, i wish you'd used more lip sync
Trailers have changed a lot since 1987.Daio Kaji wrote:i think the video was pretty slow-paced, but part of that could be that the original trailer was slow-paced as well, it's old, so you do what you can with what you got
