Art Section?

Though any art thread in the anime section has to be *anime* style art. It wouldn't be open to freestyle art like a general art section. So watch out for spam if you want to keep it open - so long as it's pertaining to anime, you don't have to ask to talk about 'anime' art. We had a long fanart thread a few months back in that section without any real problems. ^_^

Perhaps a single therad for fanart is all that's really needed, though I think it would be too much to ask for hosting here, since I don't know how put my stuff on another site.

No host for pictures?

Geocities is the cheap artists best friend. ^_^ Go to http://geocities.yahoo.com and make an account - then use pagebuilder - the easiest 'website' program I've ever seen. As long as you rename your picture files to txt you can link them offsite - and if you put them up on pages of their own, you can link to the actual gallery. Very easy to make free sites that way.

If it's all fanart, you can also try mediaminer - but they limit the number of pictures you can put up - www.mediaminer.org should get you there. Not a bad site for fanfiction, but the fanart section could be a lot better.

Go to Ourworld if you want to post art images. You don't have to worry about bandwidth here. Since the problem is sort of solved, shall this thread be locked?

It's not solved - the suggestion was for a general art section to be added to the site. If you lock the thread the person (or the next) will just start a new one until Phade says "No" outright.

Hell, it still won't be solved. There are some people here who are dense enough to not realize that the administrator of a system is God within the confines of that system...

well, it technically is solved. i started this thread for an art section, but i was thinking anime art, since other art is rather, err, off topic.

id still like to see an anime art section, but for the time being, i will satiate my desire by posting in the art thread.
