Posted my first vid on a-m-v.org here not too long ago.
The "Different"? It sure isn't some "DBZ to Linkin Park" kind of stuff. The anime is an underrated series known as "Angel Links", a spin-off of "Outlaw Star" which is really just fan service. The musician featured is British techno-pop singer Abigail, who isn't all too known on this side of the pond, but the kids in Europe and clubland seem to dig her. ^_^
The "Familiar"? It's a cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Imagine that, someone did a techno cover of a song that put Seattle on the map. And some schlub from down the Interstate in Tacoma had all the chutzpah to make an AMV of it? Just what do they put in those Frappuccino's, huh? XD
Strap on your Birkies, button up your flannel plaid shirt, and get ready for Kin Freon and the Grupo Hanamaru AVM Division's a-m-v.org debut...
"Smells Like Teen Angel"
Enjoy the video. Your opinions are welcome; your flames are not.

I loved it!
The quality was a bit low, interlacing lip flap and repeated footage were all downers. Decent editing and some nice lyric sync helped balance it out. But none of that matters because the added titles were hilarious! Any video that has things like "Live from the mack scene" "In my country we call this fansevice" and "SNACK BREAK!!!" deserves your download. You show a lot of potential as a creator, if you can clean up the technical problems you could make some great videos.

Mmm...Toasty! ^_^
A close friend I premiered this to IRL did notice the repeated footage. Some I didn't notice until too late, while the Mei Fon Li doing her pose was strictly intentional and "for the fellas". But then not everyone knows that.I loved it!

Interlacing...I don't know if that could have been a ripping issue or if that was an issue between the ripped product and WMM2. But either way...I'm not using that particular ripper anymore.
The editing... *LOL* I attritbute that to either taking Video Productions in high school or countless hours of playing the "Make Your Own Music Video" series on the Sega CD ("Warm it up, Kris! I'm about to!"). And sometimes...things just flowed into place. But I'm glad WMM2 has those text effects and overlays so that I can make with the jokes. I just hope I don't go overkill with them.
Overall, it seems like this has gone off like an okay first attempt. I just gotta keep at it, and darnit I wanna & I will! ^_^ I think I could be onto something here. I just need to get more anime; one way or another.
Thank you very much for your opinion. ^_^ Watch for more to come. ^_~
