Last I checked, this was a question about getting DBZ source footage... not yet another chance for anyone and everyone to go "DUR HUR DBZ IZ DUM." Gettin' kinda old.

That said...

Yes. Buy or rent the DVDs. Downloaded footage looks like ass, no matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise. The people that have made DBZ videos that actually have some recognition? Yep, all their own DVD / VHS captured footage. Sorta tells you something.

DBZ dvd prices have massively dropped in the past few years and are still continuing to do so.

Can't beat $14.99 for Freeza and android discs.

Hell, cons throw DBZ dvds in their bargain bins for 10 bucks and under.

*hugs the 9 DBZ dvds he got a Akon last year* :D

Well gee, you've convinced me to stop loving the show... -_-

The Freeza and Jinzoningen discs are even a fantastic $10 on Deep Discount DVD. There's really no excuse for poor-looking DBZ videos, anymore ^^

Although the discs may be cheap, you have to consider the length of the series as well. Most anime is 20 bucks a disc, and runs 13 or 26 episodes. DMZ is 10 bucks a disc, and runs.... 300 episodes? DBZ also has the tendancy to REALLLY drag out the slightest things, so you really probably need more footage for a video than you would for most other series.
I'm not really sure what my point is... maybe just that even though its cheap, its still expensive as hell.

yeah i guess so. i dont think much people would have the money, or the space in their home, for the whole colection of dbz anime. man, imagine how long the box for the box set would be. then theirs all the movies. then a few years on yorealise that theirs much beter anime out their that costs more for a reason, its got smething in it called quality

Then make a video to a small saga or small parts of one.

I dunno..... I'm not what you would call a big fan of the series, but there have been some pretty good DBZ videos (including presumably the very first linkin park dbz video.)

When I asked for some quality DBZ videos on a thread some time ago I was rather surprised at the variety that I saw.

Then again... these are videos, not the actual show, so maybe.....
