...a-m-v.org opens up it's horizons to more than just AMVs? The General Anime and Music forums are a good start, but lots of people want to do other things that aren't always directly involving AMV...like someone suggested RPGs and the OT forum has been an issue for quite a while now. Expanding the limited horizons of this site could be a truly amazing thing...with an already well-established fanbase, hits on this site would go up dramatically as new people are attracted to coming here...I'm not done making all my points, but I gotta go 'cause school's almost out...so I guess I'm opened up to the ridicule of everyone who likes to post in this section so often, so fire away! *Braces for impact*

As far as OT stuff goes, that was purged for a reason, and the likelihood of it coming back is not very high.

...and I do believe that shall be as close as you'll get to convincing the admins to 'open up' the site.

As I said before, as much as I like the community, the more time passes without OT, the more I see why the admins had a point in removing it.

i think this site should be more open to other animation styles besides just anime.

there's so much relevant content here with just animated music videos in general, its a shame to limit it to just "anime"

anime is great and all, but it's just one style.

If you want the wrath of western copyright holders then by all means make videos using their footage, just don't expect to host them here.

I like Hey Ya, Charlie Brown as much as the next guy but it's pretty obvious that western animation copyright holders aren't as forgiving as the western anime industry about derivative use of their sources.

There are more reasons for this - the main being that the site owner only wants this site to contain videos using footage of japanese origin for uniqueness.

In conclusion.... no.

People who are interested in maintaining similar communities are just as free as Phade to try and rise up and organize something for as broad or narrow subject field as possible.

There's ways the .org can be better without expanding to include other things, and I'd rather see the staff working in that direction of improvement....

i think.... thats a really GREAT idea!! .. it will promote members interest and diversity in music videos and beyond!
