Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Two! Two AMV's for the price of one!
These two videos were my submissions for the Anime Detour AMV convention. More details on that are found in the video descriptions but the two videos are:
FLCL-SF-BYOB
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=35245
Cable Problems
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=35239
FLCL-SF-BYOB was to be my main video. It is a tv introduction to FLCL if it was a television action series like the A-team or Mission Impossible. Cable Problems was my experimental video. It uses video from Ai Yori Aoshi and is a bit of concept video. Read the video title, watch it and it should make sense (it is short).
My guess that these two videos combined took me about 60 hours or so create. Part of it might be me still trying to master After Effects but either way there is a bit of work in them.
Thanks for viewing!

*just watched FLCL-SF-BYOB*
.... !!!!!
That was genius, pure and simple.
Produced many a good laugh from me.
The only thing I can think of that would have made it better is if you had used some footage of Kamon in his Nazi costume from ep 5... it does fit in with the whole "strategist" angle after all.
Dude, you rock. FLCL is one of my favorite series ever, and you totally did it justice with this video.
Now make some more.

Woohoo! Responses!
I was worried for awhile that my work was in vain but now I feel better. Thanks for the comments, very much appreciated.
My next video I have planned out entirely (at least mentally), now it is just a matter of getting started. Ideally it will be something that has not been done before or if it has been done it will have to be reasonably obscure. Hopefully it will also be good.
