Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Another video - and oh yeah, today is my birthday

Post by the Black Monarch » Mon Mar 22, 2004 11:41 am

Today is the official completion date of a completely remastered, rebuilt, and remixed version of my very first music video, set to Crazy Town's "Butterfly". It's enough of an improvement over its predecessors that I'm almost embarassed to have ever shown the original to the people I know. I'm now actually happy that WDS has taken so long to get going, because now when you see this video for the first time (assuming you ever see it - goddamn server keeps shutting itself off every few hours), you can all see it the way it was meant to be seen.

It's my 20th birthday present to myself, I guess.

I'm trying to get this POS server to go 12 hours without rebooting itself for no reason. Then I'll be able to show you all my wonderful work.

For some reason, this thread reminds me of the recent hilarity caused by a small software company based in Lindon, Utah.

"We have evidence of something profound and awesome, but we can't show you it"

Concidentally, they too have trouble keeping their Web server running.

I've decided to completely replace the last two iterations of the chorus just for the hell of it (hey, I liked the fight against Zeruel more than the one against Israfel). The first one that I replaced took somewhere between 6 and 8 hours because of constantly having to adjust the luma key. Last chorus will hopefully go faster thanks to the ambient light being pretty constant during Asuka's fight against the MPEs...

Yeah, pretty much. Hopefully that will be solved soon. I'd put it up on the Donut if I could figure out how (i.e., I knew what to do after the Congrads! You can now upload your video to the donut, but we're not going to tell you how screen). Also, Premiere Pro seems to produce strange artifacts with Mpeg-4's motion search options, and Virtualdub has always given me wierd error messages when I try to export audio in MP3 format - even using two different versions of Vdub on three different computers. I don't think anyone here wants to download a 1.7 GB Huffy...

The universe is conspiring against me to keep my genius hidden :x
