Well I've been watching and downloading music videos. Finally time to make my own!

I only wish I didn't have to host it at Stupid yahoobriefcase. My website is being picky about it!

Go to the public folder. It's the only file there. Right click!

well do yah know how to use ftp?

If so there's this thing on your member page that says "Upload Video". Before you go thru that though, make sure that the information for your video is entered into the database, if not, do that via "Enter New Video".

When that is done, go to "Upload Video" and READ EVERYTHING, follow all instructions and rules carefully. It'll take you thru the steps needed to get your vid hosted on the Golden Donut, which is the org's big hosting server brought to you by Phade and the wonderful people who help donate to keep it alive.

I have been trying, I click on upload now and I just get bounced back to the request permission page. It's driving me crazy.

Tried again. I don't get it. It says click on the file name or click on the radio button them click confirm upload.

There IS no radio button and you can't click on the file name. There are NO instructions on how to FTP it. I am totally STUCK on how to upload it.

That doesn't help me at all

I already have it entered it's the upload page I'm having problem with. It says confirm upload and I just get bounced back. NO instructions on HOW to upload, nothing!

Okay son...hold up....take a deep breath, and let your bowels release themselves.

Now..there is a radio button...it's that little 'Dot' like object next to the filename when you go to confirm....you click that.

NOW...before you do confirm...you gotta upload. What it looks like is you don't know what the hell FTP is. If not, then I'd suggest you click the little line in 'yellow writing" that says "What the heck is FTP" on the very first page when you click Upload Video...or go here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p_info.php

Whether that helps or not is up to how much your willing to understand..which FTP isn't that hard to figure out.

When you've been enlightened on FTP. You click the checkbox saying that you agree to the rules and regulations of the Donut, and then select the title of the video you wish to upload. After which you click the "Request Upload Permission" button, and you'll be brought to the next screen.

Having learned and understand the ways of the FTP, grasshopper, you are now sent 3 things on this next page.

A server address...
A username...
and A password....

All which are essential to uploading. to use these 3 mystical items you must join them together.....when you do you'll have something like this...

ftp://username:password@nago.animemusicvideos.org/

now..of course you replace the username and password with the ones given to you by the almighty Phade himself in his omnipotent power.

Taking this address, you'll do 1 of 2 things....put it in your address bar on your browser and click GO....or open an FTP program and apply the information given to gain a more convenient access.

If you go the way of the Browser...all you needeth to do, is to click GO as mentioned, and you should be brought to a blank page....now...after doing this you can open sacred chest of "My Computer" and locate the file you wish to upload. When you find it...all you have to do is click it...drag it over to the 'blank' ftp screen....and unclick...like moving a file to another folder....doing so, you'll begin the uploading transfer...

Let it transfer until it is complete....

WHEN it is complete, you'll now have passage to the Conferm Upload page, well you've always had passage, but now there's a reason!!!

In this page you'll have the filename and size information provided to you to be sure your vid was uploaded successfully and all that jazz. On the File Name's left is a white dot....click this dot...to make it black...thus selecting the video to show that it was uploaded...and then click the "Confirm" button....

Doing so will end your spiritual journey and open your eyes to a new enlightenment....

Now go, and be one with the org....

But I FINALLY got it to work!!!!

It took like forever. The problem turned out to be (I think) a site glitch. Instead of taking me to the page that gives the ftp instructions, it was sending me straight to the page that has you confirm once it IS uploaded. NO wonder I couldn't get it to work

So, after trying like FIVE TIMES, I FINALLY got it to take me to the page where it tells you how to upload. I mean that's all I wanted. I know how to ftp. (sigh)

Thankfully, It's uploaded, and I have requested they delete the other four entries. I hope they don't delete the wrong one.
