Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Post by xionic_dream13 » Sat Mar 06, 2004 3:52 am

Hey all. I'm new here and I've just posted some videos and am looking for some feedback on them. 3 of them are Naruto videos, 1 Bebop movie one, and a DBZ one. I have 2 versions of one video and depending on reactions, i'm going to delete the least liked one.

Here are the links or you can search for them by the member name xionic_dream13.

Vegita Tribute

Zabuza Fight (Part 1a)

Zabuza Fight (Part 1b)

Hinata VS Neji

Cowboy Bebop Movie - Last Fight

I look forward to everyone's feedback.

Well, I haven't seen Naruto or DBZ, and I usually don't watch videos from anime that are unfamiliar to me, but I have seen Cowboy Bebop, so I took a look at that video. As for my comments; First of all, one fight scene is often not enough source footage for an AMV. There can be exceptions depending on the execution of the video, but in most cases, it's not a good idea and doesn't give the video any variety. The music seemed appropriate for an action video, but there didn't seem to be much editing or attempts to synchronize with it. This mostly felt like watching the scene from the actual movie while listening to a different background music. Sorry, but I can't say I liked this video.
Final Doom "Amazing things will happen here soon."

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Substance "Everyone knows that it's a dangerous substance."

Thanks for the comment,

i can see where you're comming from about picking a single fight out of a movie. As for synchronizing and editing...well...i havent completely figured out how to work the transitions and video effects in adobe premiere yet, but i will, and im not totally agaist what you said but i think i did a descent job of sync-ing it. i admit there are some parts that could have been a lot better. honestly i wasnt completely satisfied with this video but posted it anyway since it was my first non-dbz video.
