Kenshin is really cool. He's alot like Vash the Stampede 'cause he doesn't kill and all that. The sword-fights are always cool too, b/c even the most over-the-top techniques are explained in ways that seem to make sense, even if they're impossible to actually perform. That just makes it more interesting, for me, anyways...

You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.

Episode 40 is the best.
No contest.
That and after the first 70 eps it kinda loses it's momentum. But definately worth watching it.

Yeah .. i heard that this series is great and from reading the manga, i liked it a lot. I do agree that Kenshin is a lot like Vash because he doesnt like to kill people, just hurt them enough to stop them, aint that koo ... 8)
The only problem is that its really really really long and it will cost a lot of money to get all the episodes. So im saving right now to get it and when i do ... ooooohhh boy ...

It's not too ad compared to some series. I mean, most of the DVDs have between 4-5 episodes. But yes, the series is pretty cool, and the only thing I found annoying about it is just about every character at some time or another ends up explaining what ridiculous technique is currently in the process of being used, whouldn't be too bad if they didn't keep doing it through all the 90 some-odd episodes.Jonathan02us wrote:Yeah .. i heard that this series is great and from reading the manga, i liked it a lot. yes, good series indeed. Kenshin himself doesnt make up the whole series though. Aoshi, Saito, Sano, even Karou and Yahiko as humor to the series. Remarkably, its very hard to find a reverse blade katana out there disite the fact that the show made it popular, and that it was a real weapon of the meji era when samuri were forbidden to carry real swords. SO why is it so hard to find one! >.<
Overall, I like the story, and I didnt like a few eppisods that were kinda off topic and strayed to a kiddy like storyline. (but hey, thats in all long winded animes arnt they?) The only thing I didnt like about the show was the glorifacation of the Hiten mitsirugi ryu.
Call me old fasioned, or an obseser, but then again I didnt make my name Crimson Blade for nothing. Many of the Hiten Mitsirugi's sword style is no more than renamed versions of basic sword pratices. The badoujitsu, the ryu sou sen, and even the final move, the (pardon the speling if its worng) The arawarkahiromeki, are all renames moves or done at god like speed.
Otherwise, I give the creator credit for being through with most of the story and the transistion between the tokagowa and meji eras. Its a great series and certine battles are ones tha will probably be clasics in the long run.
