If it was, well then it's a new form of sarcasm than from what I am used to. From my understanding, sarcasm is either usually exaggerated to extreme proportions:
"I can speak Japanese fluently with only 3 weeks of study! What's the hold up idiot!?!?"
-or- reasonable, but followed by or containing something to indicate your sarcasm:
"You nerd, it's muuuuch faster to get off your lazy arse and do it for me! By the way, while your at it, can you come by my house and get me a pepsi from the fridge and hand it to me, thanks."
even just a smiley can hint to you that it's not to be taken seriously:
"You little b4sta4d, I only want you to find this
one thing for me! Please!

"
Other than that, it is a grave miscommunication error. Remember, I can't see your face, your words will speak for themselves whether it is your real intentions or something completely different. At least that's how I see it.
But going back and re-reading it carefully. It does
seem like sarcasm, but the following posts didn't raise any sarcasm flags for me. So if it IS sarcasm. I'll take back what I said. However, we need to work on our non-verbal communication.
