The AMVs are stalking us!
Recently, I've had multiple cases of AMV music following me beyond the computer, and I'm not just talking about songs that I heard in an AMV and found because I liked...
Case #1: A friend and I are at a supermarket shopping for anime club. The lyrics being sung over the PA system sound really, really familiar. We were both at Otakon, and it hit us at about the same time that Glory of Love was playing over the supermarket music system...
Case #2: In the cafeteria, heard familiar guitar notes over the radio, and then suddenly had flashes of Bebop and Kenshin in my head. Realized it was Chevelle's "Closure," the same song that SSJVegita0609 used in his new vid.
I know after talking to SSJVegita that he had a similar story of his friends always hearing the song from Failed Experiments, so I imagine this is a common phenomenon. Ever been in a weird/random location, hear a song, and then have that odd realization that you watched that video the other day?

heh, "glory of love" was played at my cousin's wedding reception dance. except that was before dwchang released his amv. but i recognized the song from kusoyaro's kenshin amv.
"papa loves mambo" from failed experiments was in back to the future part 2. it caught me off guard when i heard it after watching the amv.

Mwahahaha! My plans for world dominations through putting subliminal messages in my 80's video cheese is working! The supermarkets easily agreed to those plansdokool wrote:Recently, I've had multiple cases of AMV music following me beyond the computer, and I'm not just talking about songs that I heard in an AMV and found because I liked...

He totally stole that song from medownwithpants wrote:heh, "glory of love" was played at my cousin's wedding reception dance. except that was before dwchang released his amv. but i recognized the song from kusoyaro's kenshin amv.

In all honesty, that was one of the firat amvs I ever saw (Kusoyaro's) and is sorta special because of that. I even talked to him after finishing mine to see if he was "alright" with it. He was, but his fans are surprisingly loyal and one in particular PM'ed me and said I "stole" his song. :-/.
I wonder if MeriC or Vegettoex will append to the "Glory of Love" coincidences of doom!!! They told me of a similar situation. If more people say the same thing...this thread will be eerie. At least for me >_>.

I think it'd be more amusing if people started saying that they kept hearing Just Can't Wait...dwchang wrote:I wonder if MeriC or Vegettoex will append to the "Glory of Love" coincidences of doom!!! The same day I downloaded Excel Popup they started playing Standing Still on the radio system at work. Needless to say I almost lost it at first. Funny part is it plays just about everyday since then, I just can't help but chuckle every time it comes on.
