Download Help

Hiya. When I download a video, it gets to the very end where it changes to File Download and should just close and appear on my desktop, but it just sits there, supposedly finished but never really finishing. Can anyone tell me why?

I used to have this problem a lot when I was using Internet Explorer. I now use firefox as my browser and have only experienced the problem once. And even then, it was a matter of pausing and resuming the download and it was fixed right away.

If it sits at 99% and the local download says it's 'complete' - meaning you can give it a star rating - that means you hit a button while it was copying the file over to wherever you wanted to save it to (from a temp file usually some combination of letters - all caps). Since I've never been able to find the temp file I don't know if you can just search and copy and paste it yourself, or if you actually have to redownload. I just make sure not to touch my comp once a download gets to 98% - that way I don't accidentally cancel it when it's 'copying' the file.
