Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

That people do that. Pathetic. If you're going to slam a video, have the evidence to back it up or shut up. Especially when it's good video.
He didn't watch it, we did. There are some issues, but a lack of story isn't one of them. I'll have an op up later with more, but you should know this is a good vid. I look forward to more.

What if you woke up to Find all your dreams reality, and your reality dreams?

Thank you sir, it's really nice to hear something like that.Danor wrote:That people do that. Pathetic. If you're going to slam a video, have the evidence to back it up or shut up. Especially when it's good video.

I didn't even mind it when they said I had poor editing skills and hadnt caught up to them yet, or even close...
But this... this is over the line...
Ryan, Zach and I never told you anything like that. You are blowing this way out of proportion. I did tell you some flaws in your video, ones ive noticed in several of your videos. I just told you I wanted to help you get better and start up an editing workshop one day. You are making me out like I some kind of evil taskmaster that goes around slinging insults at you all the time. Not only that, but due to what you've said, it looks like I was the one who posted this, or even someone from our studio. I don't think I was ever this harsh to you.

I'm appalled you would even consider that I did this. Sure I may give you a hard time about some things, but I would never go to this extent. You do relize that that Bubb Rubb and his "Wooo Wooo" quote is a pretty well known thing. It's posted on ebaumsworld for pete's sake and tons of people look at that site daily! (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/bubbrubb.html)! As you can see there, the original movie has spawned, many other things, including that avatar.Voices_Of_Ryan wrote:I tried to take it nicely when lee and zach (btw thats your other account zach, I'm not stupid you have the same picture on aim) and lee where quote "trying to teach me how to edit" thats fine, I don't mind a little help now and then.

I would advise you quit trying to make it out like I did it. I had no part in this, what-so-ever.
Secondly, I never stated saying you have, "poor editing skills." You may have assumed that, but that was not the intent. You are NOT that bad of an editor, I just believe you need some work in a few areas. Which I am willing to take time out of my day to help you improve on and help give you more feedback on your betas more often than I have been.
Lastly, "hadnt caught up to them yet, or even close..." What does this mean? Who are you refferring too? Was this what Lee said about you not being up to Ais, mine and Corran's level? If so, I don't beleive Lee ever said, "or even close," atleast to my knowledge. But if this is true, you should take it the wrong way. After all, you did state it yourself saying you felt like you were outclassed, did you not?
Anyway, you have pushed me to the line making these accusations. I don't know how all of this came about, but I do know one thing. Which is, you shouldn't jump to conclusions and falsely accuse people. If you wish to speak of this matter further message me on AIM.

Perhaps; I think there's personal issues afloat here that are out of place in an announcement thread.
But, in any case, a last futile attempt to bring this back to topic - I watched the video and it clearly doesn't deserve marks like that. And it's staying on my hard drive, for now.
Why do I say that? Well, when I saw it, I said exactly the same thing as I said the same thing I did when I saw Ryan's first vid - to me, the editing style and thematic choices are pretty much alien. You're not the first editor to do that BTW - I feel the same way about the excellent dudes of Hypeo. Some people just 'feel' music very differently from me, perhaps due to what they're used to listening too.
So, on an outward level, this really seems not to work for me; particularly the beat/lyric sync (which is to say, I would've approached it differently). On the other hand, looking at it carefully, I can see how it would work very well for a lot of people. A nice, semi-sentimental vid. Just right for valentine's.
So, I'm keeping it for reference as a 'pretty good vid that wasn't made for me'
I'd say well-done anyways.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
