Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Ninja's Serenade
I know there are lots of Ninja Scroll videos out there, but a friend in my gaming clan asked me to make him a Ninja Scroll AMV. So I made one for him and let him pick the music which happens to be Killswitch Engage. Sorry for the size of the vid (98.5MB) but any comments would be appreciated.

Well, it wasn't horrid, but there was MUCH more you could've done...
First off, did you shorten the song yourself, or just get a weird version? On the CD I have its about 4 and a half minutes long. Whatever... Anyways, I was definately expecting some more emotional content with the chorus. I mean, think about Kagero and Jubei, then listen to the lyrics and use that relationship to deepen the mood. The thrashy inbetween stuff was fine in terms of scene selection though, all nice n actiony. However, the continued use of simple straight-cuts between scenes lead to a sort of repetative feeling during some of the fight sequences. Maybe some transitions or effects would've made the vid jump out a little more, and allowed it to seperate itself from the average NS vid. Also, every now and then you'd throw in a clip that didn't really flow right and had no logical or chronological purpose for being there (like the explosion chick randomly smiling). This is what I like to call simple "space filler", it just looks like its there to take up time and nothing else.
All in all though, it's really not bad, it just could have been much MUCH better.

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.
