Depending on the period anime school girls are either tentacle fodder (a), super powered (b), or the object of various international conspiracies(c).

It would appear that people in Japan wear their school uniform EVERYWHERE, regardless of how many battles or alternate universes they need to traverse. (Yes, Kagome this means you)

Hey, I'm just kidding! I've always found it funny that characters in that situation are always total "good guys" Or good girls, anyway. But realistically speaking, if somebody gave you a magical weapon that you could do ANYTHING with, wouldn't you use it for your own selfish purposes? The typical anime hero would, for no apparent reason, decide to use their power for the good of the world.

Guess it's a good thing I'm not an anime character.
