Distro: AMV DVDs Wanted!

Post by Red Wolf » Wed Jan 28, 2004 9:05 pm

While I'm still working on the new postal restrictions put out (need to make time to visit the PO and talk to someone) the AMV Distribution Center is ready to start distributing AMV DVDs. The format I've decide on is as follows.

DVDs & Submitters

I will welcome both video and data DVDs. Your DVD can either be distributed along side your current CD(s) or can replace one or more of them. However you cannot bundle a CD and DVD together, I will be keeping CD requests and DVD requests separate on the site. The contents of the DVD don't have to be 100% AMV but AMVs (or AMV related items such as con documentaries with AMV events) must make up the majority of the disc's contents. Absolutely no anime episodes, OAVs, or movies (unlicensed or otherwise) are allowed on the DVDs. Likewise absolutely no MP3, WAV, AAC, or other form of licensed music are allowed either.

DVDs & Requesters

Each request can be for up to 5 DVDs at a time. You can make multiple requests, but only after your last request has been sent back out. You will not be allowed to request DVDs and CDs or DVDs and the spindle in the same request.

All DVD requests will operate similarly to CD requests. You will send in the blank DVDs (w/sleeves or cases, that will be required) and the postage materials needed. A list of compatible DVDs (both DVD-R and DVD+R, all 4x) will be provided and you must go by that list. All other DVDs sent in will be sent back untouched. Bad burns are at the cost of the requester. You may send in more blank DVDs than is needed; if a bad burn happens I will use one of your extra DVDs, if everything goes well then I will return your burned DVDs and blank DVDs to you. The sleeve/case of your DVD will be labeled, the DVD itself will be untouched.

The first step is to get some DVDs in so I'll be doing that for a few weeks. After that I will open up requests to the public. If anyone has any questions or issues with the setup let me know now before requests start.

If you wish to submit a DVD that you currently have or will have created in the next couple of weeks please go to the submission page and download the submission form and read the guidelines. I currently have a personal copy of the following AMV DVDs. If those creators want their DVDs distributed then they only need to send me the form and not a second copy of their DVD.

AbsoluteDestiny: Music Videos 2001 - 2003 (AWA 9 hand out)
Brad DeMoss: Music Videos Volume 1 (AWA 9 hand out)
DDR Project 1 Screener DVD
DDR Project 2 Screener DVD
