Because I like wmm (the noob's editor), I don't care to improve to 'con-worthy' status if it means more than 60hrs on a vid, and I'm already taking up a huge chunk of the local server. Besides, I'm too old to just now be getting into this, I don't learn fast enough to keep up with the young-uns. ^_^;;

I'd say 60+ hr videos are very much in the minority. It's rare for me to work on a video for more than 3 days. It's effects that can take time and they aren't a prerequisite to a good video.

What's wrong with liking wmm? If anything you've helped prove that good videos can be made from it. But if you're going to quit editing, at least stick around the forums. It won't be the same without you.

My plans for this year? Hmmmm . . . here's some of them in no particular order (except for 1 and 2. those are definatly happening in that order).

1. Finish Lodoss war parody vid that im currently working on.
2. Make a GTO vid.
3. Make hilarious EVA video
4. Finish the sad kenshin video I started working on months ago.
5. Made a Nadesco tribute video to Gai Daigoji
6. Make humourous excel saga lip-sync vid. (not too original, except for the fact that it's a song from the 80's done in german)
7. Trigun video tribute to some of the minor characters.
8. Make a trailer vid. I have yet to do this, but I have an idea of what I'll do it to. If anyone knows where I can download a trailer to Van Helsing, let me know (and no, it's not to the anime, Hellsing).
9. A Captain Tylor parody vid. This will probably rather soon, as it's only going to be a minute and a half vid.
10. And then, the big project. I'm going to work on a vid that is going to have over 150+ different anime in it (good chance it might hit 200). Yes, this is crazy, and hopefully, it'll turn out well. So wish me luck!

5. Actualy make the deadline for AWA Masters this year

6. Make my horror vid (not the vampire amv = horror thing, Im talking somthing that will actualy scare people)

7. Get more than one video done for the Retro project

8. Get Fluxy to move to Austin

9. Get MJ to move to Austin

Busy year planed out for me. I say in June we bring this thread back and see what kind of progress people have actualy made.

I would be up for that. I would definatly like to see how much of this stuff I actually got around to doing. More than likely, I might get around to about half the stuff I listed, mainly because of starting projects that I didn't anticipate happening. Like my akira parody vid. I was just walking down the street when, BAM! It hit me to do this, so I immediatly started working on it. That's how my kenshin vid got sidetracked. I just thought of an idea and immediatly started working on it, so it got put on the back-burner. It's been there now for about three months.

1. Finish my Trigun Vid before my friend finds out I have his DVD's ^_^

2. A collaboration project with two of my friends, yet to be determined about anything about it

3. a VHD:Bloodlust Vid

4. buying a firewire external HDD. my 30GB laptop just doesn't cut it anymore

5. buying the Love Hina Set. A friend gave me some manga scans, and now I can't get enough of it. when I get the money I will buy the series and maybe movies, then make an AMV to them
