Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
 • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
 • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
 • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
 • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Let's go shopping

Post by godix » Tue Jan 20, 2004 2:53 am

Would you like to see an AMV that's actually done to a non-anime Japanese song? Would you like to see how bad a creator can do matching lyrics in a language he can't understand? Would you like to see stupid photoshop tricks (well, just one, but I used it alot)? If so go download Let's go shopping!

Would you like to see a grown man cry (no, I won't put up a video cam of this, so don't ask)? If so just ignore this message and refuse to see my shiny happy video.

The song is Shopping A to Z by Shinohara Tomoe. The animes are numerous, although not as numerous as some videos I've seen.

Incidently, I'm using some of the same general techniques in my new video so please, if you notice a problem with them, tell me. Think of the poor as yet unmade videos of the future. Don't let them die a lonely miserable death because I repeated my mistakes. Give me constructive criticism! Remember, friends don't let friends edit like crap.

*applause*

It's been a while since I downloaded something interesting and original. It even had good lyric synch which is quite rare nowadays. It was quite funny with the scenes that listed different kinds of foods.

My only nags are the few random parts and caption quality of some series you used.

Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. On afterthought I can only agree about some of the footage, using Ranma and Tenchi was a mistake. I actually completed the video several months ago and was looking for good quality Ranma/Tenchi footage that didn't involve buying DVDs for series I don't really want to own. Video rental places in my town suck for anime. Eventually I gave up on the quest and said 'Hell with it, I need my HD space back'. Other than the footage issue can you point out a few of the random parts you didn't like?

Well, only the few lip synch parts were kinda odd. They felt like they were not a part of the whole 'shopping' theme of your video.
