so since the subject is DBZ going to hell, anyone want to pinpoint when this 'going to hell' happened?

was it when the series was extended past Frieza?

or maybe when FUNimation decided to chop the show to bits with every possible way of editing the show from taking away scenes, taking away entire episodes, sumtims adding rocks at the feet of characters for no reason what-so-ever maybe, and just changing the dialogue completely?

(btw vegetalover50, the android saga doesn't really exist, it's just the first part of the Cell saga... further more i don't believe there is a Saiyan Saga either, just the start of the Frieza saga)

The old-school traditional way of breaking down the series was by villain, which resulted in four major sagas:

- Saiya-jin
- Freeza
- Cell
- Buu

It wasn't until FUNimation came along and actually named mini-sagas (like "Captain Ginyu") that these names REALLY came into play. They somewhat existed before, but not to this extent.

Uhh... spoilers, again?

I think it went to Hell when the "Z" era ended. I thought the Cell Saga was the greatest part of the entire series. New, engrossing characters (Future Trunks), a villain who's purpose ISN'T necessarily to just "destroy the world," time-travel... r0X0rZ~!~!1. The Buu saga wasn't as great as earlier stuff, but it was so damn FUN and moderately well-written, I can't help but enjoy it. It's when Uub shows up and.. well... Goku LEAVES, again, that it gets ridiculous. And that's Toriyama's ending. Argh.

And of course, it dies with GT.

i liked SOME of GT, well only the Super Android 17 mini saga...cuz it reminded me of DBZ more than GT...

Its well know that GT was jut a way of the studio bosses trying to cash in on the DBZ success....even Toriyama didnt write that in.

Tha said, i liked the Super17 saga, Bebi saga and the final battle with Il Shenlon.
