Episode #33: Technical Division Six's Musings.

"So, we're all agreed? The ejection system should just launch the entry plug out of the Eva, and should't be equiped with a parachute or anything."
"Yeah, that sounds good."
"I don't think that's enough."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, we should attach rockets to it so it'll go father, faster, and really SLAM into the ground REALLY hard."
"Hot diggity, first a sheild made out of the space shuttel, now this. You're going places for sure my friend!"
"Awww... Shucks."

The Love Eva manga looks like it might be doing that, but they might still be fighting angels. It might just be a more laid back/relaxed Eva series. But there isn't enough of the manga out to tell... :?

Well, supposivly all of his class is capable of of piloting an Eva. Granted, if you ever look at the still image pans of his classmates in the series, most of them look REALLY stupid.

You mean to say Shinji doesn't? :o
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Actually, the "Love Eva" universe DOES have potential to become a series. Gainax would make insane ammounts of coin off it. Coin with little holes threw it even!

They've already whored the alternate universe out enough.... Iron Maiden was ok, but then we have this other licensed Eva manga series.... ugh. I respect that Gainax needs to make a living, but they need to draw a line with Eva.

The first Iron Maiden wasn't based on the alternate reality; it was set at some indeterminate point in the normal timeline. Personally, I think I like where the new manga is going, even if I don't like the manga-ka's style.

Because of the art style, when I first started reading 'Love Eva' I couldn't tell if it was ligit, or it was fan created... or just a doujin with a REALLY drawn out story before Eva02 rapes Rei.

Alternate reality as in it isn't considered canon. Its like the expanded universe in star wars. I consider anything that occurs outside of the series "alternate universe".
