Guys, you can watch it over from the beginning, you know.
I think a good ending will not leave you hanging, not knowing what will happen. That's a sloppy move on the part of the writers, unless they are aiming for some particular effect (though I can't think of any examples offhand).
If you are just sad that it ends at all, well... that's not how stories go. I think there's a quote from Alice in Wonderland that goes something like, "Begin at the beginning, go on until you reach the end, then stop."
You don't live inside stories; you watch them, and then go on with life. If you're getting so attached that you can't live without them, then there's something wrong.
So that may be the first time that I actually agree with DJ_Izumi. X|

No sarcasm intended - I'm really surprised to hear this.dokool wrote:Guys, anime series usually last either 13 eps or 26 eps, maybe with some wiggle room (I believe X was 25 eps, Full Metal Panic was 24, etc). That's a fact of anime life. Only rarely do you have a show that transcends that number (GTO, Utena, select Gundam series, and of course Kenshin, Naruto, One Piece and *shudder* DBZ).
So...if most of the anime I watch and have lasts past 26 eps (quite a bit most of the time) does that mean I watch unusual anime? I mean, if most anime ends after 26 eps and I watch a lot that lasts considerably longer that would mean I'm watching the anime minority, right? Now I want to see a list of the 'normal' anime that ends after those eps and try to figure out why I haven't (or won't) watch those short but 'normal' anime.
More anime of the longer unusual anime length:
Magic Knight Rayearth
Card Captor Sakura
Yu Yu Hakusho
Sailormoon (which *did* get repetitive like DJ Izumi said)
Inuyasha
Prince of Tennis
Now I'm looking at the anime I only have the first dvds for and wondering if they'll end at 26 eps or continue this unusual trend of being longer than the majority of anime.
Saiyuki
Weiss Kruez
Soul Hunters
Is it odd that I tend to get into anime that lasts longer than the average length - are we saying that anything lasting beyond 26 eps is bad and *that* is why it's so rare? Or is it just that the English dubbers like to grab long anime so they can sell more dvds?

Weiss Kreuz is 25-26 eps, and it's followed by Weiss Kreuz Gluhen which is...13, I think, or maybe 11.
In a mad world, only the mad are sane.

Soul Hunter is definately 26 episodes, I have the series, I haven't watched the very end yet I'm on episode 23 right now. Saiyuki is also longer, I was browsing on the internet pricing the last 2 dvds for the first box that I have, it holds six and I bought the t-shirt-box-volume1 deal, and there's a second box to collect the remaining dvds. So Saiyuki is definately longer....which is good, because I like it!
