I watch an AMV by sitting in front of the monitor while said video is playing. But that's just me.

Just in case you are actually serious, and don't know how to use your video player: Most people use Windows media player, but you can download one of your liking such as the soul stealing 'real one' player, or the bend over and take the spyware 'playa' player. Or even use winamp these days. Your mileage will vary depending on what you want out of a video player.

In either case you already have a player on your computer.
(start ->programs -> entertainment -> media player)
If that doesn't work, download the new one from Microsoft, kill the media player exploit and try again.

If you can't play the video then in all likelyhood you don't have the right codec.

Go to www.doom9.org and download the codec pack, that should solve all those problems.

If you are having trouble finding the pearls amidst the swine, then try the top 10% from the main page.

You could also try actually reading the video information from the download page as they are nice and detailed.

From the main page, click on any video of the day.

Down at the bottom of the screen, click on the link to download that will give you something like this:

(this was chosen at random, and may suck or not. That's why YOU decide.)

You can't watch an AMV off this web page, if that's what you're wondering. You have to first download it to your hard drive, then open it in a media program, such as Windows Media Player.

x2 .. wat i do is after i downloaded it ... i look for the file and then double click on it and wait till one of my video players like WinMedia Player, or Real Player pops up. Then i watch the AMV, afterwards i rate the vid and sometimes i post my opinion ...
