FFVI Project -- Relm track open
The editor for the Relm track dropped. Anyone interested in editing out a less-than-a-minute segment to Final Fantasy audio to Kiki footage?

...while you're at it, it's coming up REALLY fast now and I still have no clue on earth about how to connect the two halves of mine (Umaro/Totoro). There's nothing to Umaro but snow and being strong, and there is no snow in that movie. And I can't do the major editing necessary to truly merge the two, like creating an anime version of one of Umaro's scenes or whatever. That's probably what everyone else is doing, but I just can't.
I bought the movie, I tried some things, thought about it, but I just don't have what it takes. Somebody else deserves this slot. They're welcome to it.
I'm sorry to have wasted your time.

You don't exactly have to show how 2 characters are alike. You can show that they can do/go through similar things in their lives and not be alike at all.SarahtheBoring wrote:...while you're at it, it's coming up REALLY fast now and I still have no clue on earth about how to connect the two halves of mine (Umaro/Totoro). Something I learned while editing my RVG track.

To me it seems like you're comparing your skills to everyone else's. That's something you definitely don't want to do. Everyone has their own way of editing, and putting yourself next to what you think is a better person in your mind is artistic suicide.SarahtheBoring wrote:...while you're at it, it's coming up REALLY fast now and I still have no clue on earth about how to connect the two halves of mine (Umaro/Totoro). I don't expect you to make another Memories Dance or Ghilbi Dance, I just want the best from you in this project. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing and just go for your highest potential.
I agree with Castor. You don't have to dead-on technical about comparing the two characters. Just show how they relate and match the anime to the music. Both Umaro and Totoro are big friendly creatures who use their goofy size to help others and try to have a good time doing so. Just relax with your segment and look at it from a open-minded view.
If you still want to quit after what I've said, then that's fine I'll take you off. Still sad to see you go.

I actually have an idea that may help. I haven't seen My Neighbor Totoro, but I think that I might be of some help to you with your clip. I'll instant message you on AIM sometime to talk to you about it.

That's true, but these are two very minor characters with no development whatsoever. I like 'em, they're fun, but that still doesn't change the fact that I have no idea what to do with that.Castor Troy wrote:

Pie Row - See, I know it's not a contest, but I still don't want to be that one lameass track that drags down the whole project. You know what I mean, sometimes the pity slots or the "Oh shit, we have to find SOMEBODY to do this" slots stick out like a sore thumb, and it's just not fun at all.
You also vastly overestimate my highest potential; I've gotten rejected from a con that wasn't rejecting entries. We're talking less than no-name here.
But I'll make sure to get on AIM, SJ, if you have any ideas. :/
