Which voice actors you prefer?

When there are forign characters in anime, do they have accents? Like Japanese spoken with American, or German accents?

And why the hell was Asuka called 'Aw-Ss-kah'? In EVERY other anime where I've seen the name 'Asuka' it was pronounced 'Ah-su-ka'. Shouldn't her name have spelled 'Auska'? :/

It's a distinguishing artifact, don't spoil it!

They are "seiyuu", not just voice actors! And they do a hell of a better job than AMERICANS!

Although I hear, MIT has developed a special algorithm to detect and even add emotional intonation into natural speech, as long as it's isolated from any BGMs. Just great, now we can have the CN people cheating on their VA talent and just change the octave rates with a software program.

My fav Japanese Seiyuu's would have to be:

Guys:
Tomokazu Seki
Kappei Yamaguchi

Girls:
Megumi Hayashibara
Kotono Mitsuishi
and I know I'm forgetting someone I just can't remember >.<

For english I don't mind Crispin Freeman...it amuses me how he's in like everything! Though I disagree with Lisa Ortiz, I couldn't stand her as Lina Inverse, I much prefer the person who va'ed her in the Motion Picture...just seemed to work better in my opinion.

I only have one series in french, and I really didnt' pay attention to the voice actors. Though honestly, Dilandau is awesome in screaming Alain Schezar....so amused....so unbelievably amused....

Back to the subject at hand, has anyone ever watched the extras on Laberynth of flames to hear the interviews with the english voice actors for that anime? Or the Japanese voice actors at the end of Psychic Force? I think the interviews on some anime is what make me enjoy the voice actors more - definitely YYH. Just hearing Kurama's voice actor, Megumi, try to do the 'jaou ensatsu kokoryuuha' scream (usually done by deep-voiced Hiiyama) made me fall in love with her - not just the sound, but her attitude as a voice actor. She was really funny in the interview. ^_^;
