Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

New from Aquiline: Dueling Videos: Under Ice

Post by Scintilla » Tue Dec 23, 2003 11:33 pm

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=28816

Music used:

Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure"
PLUS SIGN
Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby"
EQUALS SIGN
<a href="http://www.sensoryresearch.com/~starkeff/">Stark Effect</a>'s "Under Ice"

Footage: FLCL and Neon Genesis Evangelion

This is my longest (at 4 minutes) and most ambitious (though that's not saying much compared to some editors around here) video to date. It also uses a device I don't think I've ever seen before; I hope it worked.

If you don't like it, you can always dismiss it as experimental. Because it kind of is.
Still, meaningful feedback is always appreciated. :)

Also, the credits contain a little extra that I'd been wanting to do for some time, but I knew it was way too short (about 10 seconds) to be its own video.

How about this: I'll give a free op to the first person who can identify where the audio for the credits was taken from. :)

Whoa man, that was pretty cool,

The music was pretty smart, mixing it was a good idea, it sounded pretty awesome.

And the sync/ site gags where pretty funny themselfs.

Someone earlier in the General anime section asked

"What is an orignal video judged by"

This is what it should be judged by.
"hey... no"

Wow. Just in time to get a nomination for Best Original Concept in the VCA's. Which I'm sure you will, because that was killer. Very well done! It will be watched many times

Whoa :o

You made a great work mixing the 2 songs used in your vid , and the "subs" , was great to know wich song lyrics you was matching the scenes .

Yay this is cool , even ppl like me with a terrible english , can watch your vid without a note pad opened with the songs lyrics
