Kai-Doh-Maru AMV

Gotta support you 100% on everything you said about mediocre/overused.

Kai Doh Maru, like the Nansou Satomi Hakkenden anime, is great jidaigekki (a period piece) and the artwork is breathtaking and realistic (I lived in Japan for 2 yrs, and the settings, structures, landscapes, etc. are drop-dead spot-on. You can almost smell the tatami mats. The costuming is rather bitchin' as well.) In essence, Kai Doh Maru is so traditional and classy it would flatten any twerpy lyrics 'Evanesence' comes up with.

More difficlut to hold the 7-second attention-span of Nintendo jockies, but a slower, mystical instrumental might be perfect for KDM. Probably 'Travels of Marco Polo,' by Steve Morse, which includes some Oriental imagery. But again, this would come out entirely different from the overused, overdone Mechs-2-Metal, or Hack-n-Slash-2-Metal.
(Could we call that one Ha-mon-ny? <--bad pun.)

For a fast-moving plot extracted from KDM, you could probably only do 'A' fights 'B' and one of them dies, or 'A' and 'B' fight 'C' and 'B' dies so as to weaken 'C' enough for 'A' to finish the job. Sure, but we've already seen that in the Rammstein-Animatrix AMV. Oh well, MAYBE someone can top that, or put an original spin on it, trick it up w/ AfterEffects** but except for using KDM as an unusual video source, ho-hum.

** though this too is becoming an over-used tool to 'salvage' weaker ideas.

OTOH, you could try for something ENTIRELY SILLY, such as a crossover-spoof entitled "Heian Maid May." Y'know, six layers of kimono and the USB headshell comes out from underneath and rests next to the Go board. Hey - that might make an even match for Fujiwara Sai (Hikaru no Go.)

Enough already, please. I have already said that I will "keep my crappiness to myself" and no longer post or share my "mediocre" "overused" and "unoriginal" etc ideas and suggestions, so there's no need to continue this.
And the anime you've suggested to fit with Evanescence songs? HELL no. They wouldnt fit even if you took a hammer and chisel to them.
I dunno... This one dude I know too Smooth Criminal (Alien Ant Farm) to Samurai X and Ninja Scroll and made it work, though I always picure The big stone dude saying over and over again, "Annie are you okay, are you okay, are you okay annie?"

You can do it- but it all depends on your skill and daring. Don't hold back, break some new ground. But... Use different anime than the 'mainstream' (Toonami) stuff. I mean, come on.

Damn, lay up on her! So what if She has ideas that others have thought of? This is about individual expression. Let her walk her own path. I mean, we all learn from everything we do. Chill out.

Karen, do what you got to do. Work hard, and try to explore these video ideas with the thought "I'm going to do something monumental"
Take time with it. Spend about four to five hours on each minute's worth of song, until you get the timing and everything just right. Don't go into it with a negative attitude. The worst critic is always yourself.

Keep trying, and perfect your techniques.

I believe I've already said that I have neither the footage, music, equipment or knowledge to make a music video, which is why I posted my ideas and suggestions in the Suggestions Forum, for anyone who does, and might be interested, but it appears I obviously made a mistake in doing so.

If noone is interested, or even likes my ideas and suggestions, that's perfectly fine, but a little more tact and politeness, or even not replying at all, would have been better appreciated.

Anyway, since it's considered "selfish" and "a waste of time and space" for me to post my ideas and suggestions here, rest assured I won't be doing it again.

Y'know, at this point all the exaggerated, unnecessary comforting over the mean, nasty ol' two posters who dared criticized poor Karen's ideas can be done over private messages.

Seriously, no wonder there are so many sucky AMVs out there. It's called the review process. When things suck, you speak up. That's how people improve. If you don't like it, don't post your AMVs or ideas up in a forum that's free for criticism.
Don't you hate it when people describe something as "cute" when they really mean "God, I want to fuck that"?
