i have an unfinished video on my drive that i did that with....started it sometime last year, and it was I, My, Me! Strawberry Eggs to Scum of the Earth by Rob Zombie :p the creepy part was that it was turning out to be a serious video oO

One planned on paper after a few days of floating in my mind (Us Against the World)

One self-indulgent AMV that I completely planned in my head (These Angel Hearts)

Now I have 3 ideas floating in my mind that I'd like to make real sometime during the Christmas break....one of them anyway being a seasonal idea. I don't know how much paperwork I'd have to do on that one since I already have a fairly vivid vision for each.

I usually just pick an anime. Then i go through my mind and pick the song that i think best fits that anime. That usually takes no more then 5 minutes. Then the editing begins.
