Did you ever just randomly choose an anime and a song you thought kinda worked, then just edit and finish the vid for fun? Or do you always plan and plan before making a vid?

i actually did that for my latest video. it was fun even though it did take longer than i expected. i didn't go through typing a plan on Word or printing out stuff to see where everything could fit but i did take the time out to think about what i would want to put next. then again this song was instrumental so i might be different if i used a song lyrics. for the videos that was most effective and that i really like i had a plan though.

Well some of my old vids I choose the songs based on rythm or beats and not lyrics , because the first amvs that I ever saw was crap DLded from Kazaa , and that gaves me the wrong image that nobody cares for lyrics or something , I think that you almost of those vids from kazaa seems that the creator hadn't a concept to make their vids , yeah I started by the wrong way

I did that with my first video and my 3rd video (which was my first attempt at editing with Premiere). Since then, I haven't done it...oh wait, yes I did. That's how Spit came about! But since then I haven't done it...hehehe.

I've done that before, but that was when I ripped my dvds into tiny files and could have entire movies to work with. Now I can't fit as much on my harddrive at once, so I have to plan out exactly what scenes to rip, with just a little bit of freedom to 'make it up as I go along.' But I wouldn't mind working with a single movie, vague concept, and just going from scratch. It's fun. ^_^;

My last two videos were planned in my brain... the one I'm working on now, I actually planned on paper to some extent.

Only when Iron cheffing, but it's fun to do if you're bored or have VERY little time to work in.
