Messages-too EARLY??!?

what is it whenever you go to write a message after another it tells you its
too early to write another and does that chat room work?

The chatroom works if you have aim. And the message is to keep you from posting too much too quickly. It's a standard warning that pops up when you post two posts in a minute or so - you might call it an anti-spam filter. ^_^;

but why dont they want as much stuff as they can get?

and why do they ask for funds +donations , usually sites get a sponser for that sort of thing

Well, I suppose Phade could take the filter down, but I think that wouldn't be a very good idea. At the very least it causes you to put some thought into your posts.

The site doesn't have a sponser, its entirely self-dontation supported. I belive the reason we have no sponser is either:

A: No on wanted to.

B: Phade didn't want someone who might pull out their financial backing if he didn't do whatever it is they wanted.

why whats wrong with my posts they havent done too badly . besides i seem to have attracted a larger audience through keeping everything general and open.

while your posts may not have been bad, there are other people who do post things they shouldn't. it would get ugly if they were allowed to post nonstop.

also a sponsor would mean ads, which i guess goes against phade's wishes

I don't want adds, I don't want popups or annoying problems with sponsers. As a member, I'd rather donate than have the site rely on outside income. This way it's a 'private' site relient on the members themselves. I can't speak for the majority, but I'd rather keep it that way.

As the amount of videos hosted goes up (in gigs), the number of members also goes up. If the members continue to contribute as much as they can then yes, it should go on for as long as Phade cares to let it. And if it doesn't...well, it was good while it lasted, and still much better than the other options. I don't plan to be doing this (or even visiting here) years from now, so I'm more concerned with the present and the immediate future. Which is doing just fine.
