Ah, you're the first person I've heard from who uses version 7 - you might see if you can revert back to version 6.0 - it used to work fine with the codecs on my old computer (an old win 98 type). I'm not sure if you can switch from 7 to 6 (you can't from 9 to 6), but you might try. ^_^;

I didn't even think that you might have an odd version of wmp.

Woo hoo! I uninstalled the new Media Player and now it runs fine! Go figure, right?
