The Real Animatrix (The longest, most indepth trailer ever!)

Post by DJ_Izumi » Thu Nov 20, 2003 11:52 pm

This is the REAL Animatrix, a parody trailer of The Animatrix.

7 Animes, 1 Japanese Live Action Film, 1 Special creator.

In the Real Animatrix, all 9 segments of The Animatrix have been replaced by corosponding films or TV shows, a great deal of effort went into the production of this, matching animes for their segments, sounds, voice, and action to create 6562 frames, 4mins 30seconds of pure anime trailer glory.

FLCL, Patlabor 3: WXII, Escaflowne, Ninja Scroll, Lain, Armitage, Gunslinger Girl, and the Japanese movie The Returner!

Buckle up, this is one hell of a trailer.

bravo
That turned out better than I thought. There was some interlacing in some parts...

And now I want to see that Returner flick.

Unfourtinatly my source material was interlaced (EVERY peice of footage I used was downloaded) who ever ripped and encoded Armitage III did a REALLY shitty job at it, keeping it interlaced, placing the I frames every 15seconds, and aparently pressing the 'Crap' button for the divx encoder, since it's FAR to chunky compared to it's bitrate. To deinterlacing proved futile. :\

I'm working on getting the split screen version, so you can see the original, up and going... Premiere keeps crashing though, hah. :X

That was quite amazing.
I would've given it a 4, but I felt that justice had to be served.
