Word. I think a lot of people are also skeptical about the policies governing whatever recruitment did take place. Hyped up buddy buddy projects are exclusive by nature, and exclusion within a community doesn't usually make the outside members happy. It's just the nature of communities. Of course the insiders and rationalizers will say "well duh, wtf is your problem let it be. It's nothing to make a big deal out of."

Anyway, just come out with the damn thing already

The nature of the project limits it to a certain number of people that can participate. So when me and Koop decided that we wanted to do it, we basically asked our AMV friends that were online at the time what they thought about the idea, and they all wanted to be a part of it, so it filled up quickly. So it's not like "HAHA U R NOT COOL ENUFF TO B IN OUR CLUB HEHE". If it was a project that could have A LOT of members, I would've gone for a more public recruiting method. It wasn't meant to be like some exclusive buddy-buddy thing that only the elite people could be a part of. It was just a timing thing really. Like I've said before, I'm sorry that more people can't be a part of it, but that's how it is :\
