oO, really? That trailer was pretty badass
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

The DVD dates from early 2001, meaning the trailer has to originate before that, and a-m-v.org wasn't that noteable then... I dunno.

Didn't Maboroshi start making trailers for a certain company? I heard it was Bandai, but my memory's that of a retarded brick so I'm unsure.

I'm planning to do a full 'American Style' trailer for 'Gunslinger Girl' once enough episodes are released to utalize as footage. Really though, I should finish 'The Animatrix' project I've crammed on the backburner before someone beats me to it. It's 75% complete even. :\

Most of Bandai's trailers are good stuff (I say most because part of me still wants to slap the narrator of the Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 trailer)
"The future rests in the hands of one boy, Amooro Rei"

(What makes it worse is that the Toonami based promos for the show were much better)

Bandai's newest set of trailers, beginning with Argento-Soma, is modelled and I believe even done by Hollywood Trailer editors. It's very inspirational stuff and definately something I'd like to try next with anime. However, having already done a few "mock" trailers for editing class, I can tell you that it is very difficult, if not impossible to extract dialog and sound effects from existing DVDs. Because there is almost always multiple layers of sounds imbedded which cannot be separated.

So Music Videos are really the "easiest" way to go right now. But on that note, I think we could really do with a "trailer" category in the video descriptions since many people have been making "dubs" using existing movie trailer tracks with anime. I'd like a search function to look for some trailers.

Think Phade can do it.

One trailer I can definitely remember by Bandai was the one for Please Teacher! (Onegai Teacher!). Definitely worked very well, made quite humorous and the voice acting sounded pretty good. ^_^
