i've nuthen against yaoi or yuri, but i do agree

there are pairings that work and pairings that don't work, if it's left open then do as you will, if it's not then don't perverse it.

too many times every possible angle is explorered. Doesn't even make sence half the time. You silly people should write serious stories with original characters, not turning up relationships like zechs and relena or duo and noin x_x

I agree too!There are pairings that work and that seem almost real or abvious so to speak.Then there are some that don`t;they are VERY unlikely.

I`ll give any pairing a chance,a least once.

It seems that unlikely pairings(het,yaoi,or yuri)get bashed as much,if not more, as yaoi/yuri pairings.It is very sad,ne?I hate that some people are like that!

Fanfiction does not depend upon the original anime. It is writing, storytelling - and in storytelling you don't have to rely on what is in the anime to create. Any pairing can work in fanfiction. Yes, any pairing at all. It's just a matter of whether or not the writer gave enough background information and character interpretation to explain why the character's behavior is dfferent from how it was in the anime. This is called 'alternate unverse,' or 'timeline-what-timeline' in fanfiction. If you don't understand writing, don't read it. If you think you have to be dependent on the anime at all times and only reflect (like a mirror) exactly what is in the anime, then why are you even here?

As you noted, the key is to explore angles - it is certainly the reason there are so many amvs. If everyone mirrored the anime there would be one per every 5 minutes of footage (exact replicas, mind you - so as to not take anything out of character or to 'pervert' the purity of the anime footage). There would be no stories, no crossovers, nothing that in any way goes against the anime or how the masses see that anime. The only thing left would be watching an anime set to music - no story except the one inherent in the original order of the footage as seen in the anime (switching the order could possibly imply something that wasn't intended - and that would pervert the purity of the anime.)

I don't think you can have it both ways. Either people have a right to use and 'add to' an anime through fanworks (like japanese doujinshi - never hear the creators complain about that, now do we)........or you only have the anime, with any variation being 'wrong.' I may not like certain pairings, and I may think some stories and videos are completely farfetched (because the maker didn't give enough to make it believable - not because the anime didn't leave the potential there). But I'd rather let people play with anime than dictate to them about the purity of anime and how certain things are perverse. If I don't like it, I don't read/watch it.

I honestly fail to see what's so hard about that. I don't go out of my way to get and then flame fics and vids that feature (openly, mind you - it's almost always described in some sort of summary/description as to what the story/vid entails) pairings and ideas I don't like. Whether it's something inherent in the anime (Kenshin/Tomo), or something built by twisting and adding to the footage (Yusuke/Hiei) - if I don't like it, I don't watch it. Simple.
