How about a feature where we can see who gave us what in terms of the stars?
Has it been asked already? If so, oops, I'm a lazy bastard.

And at the same time, that anonymity (sp) led to people giving all 1's or "harassing" a creator (by giving bad scores to all their videos). This was the main reason I suggested something similar and Phade in turn implemented that people who: a) give all 1's or are B) *very* low on the average, aren't factored in (dropped).dokool wrote:The point of the star system is to encourage anonymity. People are more likely to vote honestly if they know that say, for example, you won't be able to see if *they're* the person giving you a 1. It's quick and anonymous, and it isn't changing.

So ultimately, I think the abuse part is taken care of (some) and agree that it should remain anonymous now.

Ok, well then, how about a user box to state "I dont give a fuck who sees what I gave them" .. or even a listing of the stars that were given. I'd like to see how many 5's or 1's or whatever it is I got on particular videos.

You could probably implement some sort of count to tell people how many of each score they received (1s, 5s, etc) without making the 'giver' public. I think that's been suggested before, but it may be too messy to get into (the code). I'm not really sure - just that you wouldn't have to give *who* gave the scores - just how many of each score a video received.

That's an interesting suggestion. I don't imagine it'd be that much more difficult to implement since you could just have a counter variable per value and add to it and finally output it.Arigatomyna wrote:You could probably implement some sort of count to tell people how many of each score they received (1s, 5s, etc) without making the 'giver' public. I too wouldn't mind seeing a distribution of my stars on particular videos. I have a feeling some are lopsided
