Searching...
I hope this hasn't been asked a thousand times... I just uploaded my video about an hour ago and when I do a new video search or new download search my video is not listed. If I search my member name I can find it so it is in the database and the upload was successful. Did I do something wrong? My premiere date is only a few days old. Does it take a little while to be put on the new lists? Any help is appreciated.

You have to be a donating member to search for local vids.cthopper wrote:I think I may have come across wrong. When videos are entered do they all go to the "new downloads" and "new videos" lists or is there some kind of requirement. I ask because my video, which is not even a day old, did not go to either of these lists.

What is the "just in" list? I have been looking in the area search vids/quick search/ new videos and new downloads. Where is the "just in" list? I really don't mean to sound so stupid, but I just uploaded my first video today and I am afraid nobody is going to see it because it is buried behind many older videos. I fear that to see my video people are going to have to search my criteria specifically. Plus, I don't want to come to the forum to "view beg" just to have people see my video. Do you have to donate to be in the new videos or new downloads list? I am sorry to be so persistent. I do appreciate those who have given their time to respond to me. Thanks again.

According to the premiere date it is 3 (well, in my time zone 4) days olds. By default, new releases only shows vids from the past two days. If you look at new releases and set it to show vids posted in the past 10 days, yours shows up about halfway down the list.
Why this even matters to someone, I don't know.

Your vid is there - that's why Lyrs found it in a search - but you have to be a donator to see it. Other people who've donated can search for local links. I *think* people who haven't donated have to either do a search for all vids for an anime in order to see local vids, but I'm not sure about that. Either way, when you first uploaded the vid it *should* have been included in the 'just uploaded' list. That's the list of 10 (5 for non-donators?) vids on the member main page - at the bottom right corner you should see the titles of videos that were just uploaded. If a lot of people uploaded vids when you uploaded yours, your vid may not have been on that list for very long.cthopper wrote:What is the "just in" list? But regardless, if you give someone the link to the vid, they can get it. And anyone who goes to your profile can get the vid without a problem. The only thing you're missing is being able to search for locally hosted videos.
