Fav and least fav Openings
The opening of an show or movie tends to give the viewer their first impression of whatever it is they plan on watching. This means for all those impatient viewers, if this opening isn't insteresting at all, it's time to flip the channel! Or at least bring down their hopes for this to be any kind of a good anime.
So with all those openings you've liked, which ones would you say are your favourite ones? Do you prefer them to have the credits, or does it matter at all? Is it the music or the clips that are more impressive? ...music and anime ...it's almost like an AMV! o_0
I really like the opening for Berserk. Great music, and the coordination worked great.
The dubbed opening for Digimon season 4 was really enjoyable. To think, they didn't use the same song as the past 3 seasons! =o ^_^
And the opening for Shaman King was really nice too. I liked the dubbed song they created.
As for ones I hated... the dubbed DBZ, DB, DBGT openings. -_- Watch it once, I can barely stand the second time.

I'd have to say that I always did enjoy the music and images of the KareKano opening, and the music of the close. It's a nice touch how the song shifts from solo to duet when they start going out, and to an instrumental when they are geographically seperated.Anime Jedi wrote:The opening of an show or movie tends to give the viewer their first impression of whatever it is they plan on watching. The Eva opening is a classic work of art. Great introduction and catchy song ^-^
Cowboy Bebop's opening had the style, but for music it's got to be The Real Dolk Blues.
Lately, Princess Tutu and Last Exile have had my attention.
Initial D and Stellvia of the Universe's ones I never liked. And the Stellvia preamble is mind-numbingly boring. I suppose it gives a fairly accurate representation of the show.

I would have to say that my favorite opening is the first opening for Ranma ½ its kind of odd but the song for it is really fun and infectious, and every time I watch and episode of Ranma with that opening I never skip it. My brother acuity got into the series after he saw the opening and said, “I have to see this show.” And I’ll give an honorable mention to Azumanga Daioh that has a great opening too.
For worst opening I’ll have to go with one that Savia mentioned, Initial D, I just never cared for it.

One series that hasn't been mentioned yet: Boogiepop Phantom. "Yuudachi" and "Mirai Seiki Maruhi Club" simply never get old for me.
(Why didn't I notice that bit with the different Kare Kano endings before?)
I'm also fond of the Fushigi Yuugi themes. Only problem with the opener is that there's only one version of it, and it's got Chiriko in it, so that

when you see Amiboshi claiming to be him, you figure something is fishy, kinda ruining it... and personally, I always liked Amiboshi better than Chiriko anyway.

I don't like any anime opening. they're all gay. Except for magical Project S: Pretty Sammy, it was so sugar sweet my teeth fell out. same with chobits.

Favourite openings eh?
Hmm...
Probably
Record of Lodoss Wars Chronicles of the Heroic Knight (Maaya Sakamoto...so pretty...and the mood is awesome...gotta love Deedlit ^^)
Saiyuki, I love that song. *for real*
Gravitation TV... ^^
Least Favourites....
Probably, the Purachina opening of CCS...*I like the other ones better*
And I think it's the first ending of Sailor Moon...or maybe the second...I'm not sure...the one where she's dancing around but you can't see her eyes...I detest the song they play
