I guess I'd have to go with Legato Bluesummers from
Trigun. His philosophy parallels my own in several places. He realizes that happiness, sadness, fear, hatred and many aspects of life, both emotional and otherwise are illusionary and flawed. In the end we all die anyway, rendering all such things ultimately meaningless. Whenever a person forms attachments to things, they must eventually be broken, causing suffering to that person. It's a rather bleak way of looking at life, but it makes sense in a way.
As for powers, I'd just as soon accept his as anyone else's.
Who knows what fires burn in the souls of others, or what burdens weigh upon their hearts?
