Strongest emotional anime?

Post by SSJVegita0609 » Sun Nov 09, 2003 12:03 am

What anime(s) have had the most emotionally moving effect on you?

For me I'd say Trigun, Berserk, and X.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Usually it's the last episodes of longer anime that catch me. I'd say both seasons of Magic Knight Rayearth, Sorcerer Hunters, Yu Yu Hakusho (the first time I went through the series was the worst since I didn't know what was coming), X (the movie - never seen the series), AD Police, Card Captor Sakura (it wasn't even a death scene...), and a few others that I won't admit to. ^_^;;

Fruits Basket jumps to mind... (I'm not obsessed, really...) Oh, and the end of Violinist of Hameln is really sad. On a happier note, what I've seen of Shaman King thus far makes me incredibly giddy. Happiness is an emotion too...

I almost forgot this one:

Voices of the Distant Star

I was SOOO pissed for being a very short movie (approximately 30 min.). Throught the entire movie, it gave me a HUGE emotional buildup until the end where

I nearly cried at that moment. :cry: :cry:

Eh, I've never seen that anime, but I want to list it anyway. I saw a vid for it that basically captured the story (at least, that's what it said in the vid description) and it's one of the few that really disturbed me. I'll never watch the anime now - I won't even watch vids for it anymore. I'd say that makes it emotional to me. ^_^;;

Well Voices of A Distant Star is only a 26 minute long movie...so i can see an AMV covering it all fairly easily. But it IS greatness, and its also only 10 bucks at your local best buy, lol.

Eh, I'm not positive, but I think the vid listed it as Hoshi no Koe (or something similar - sp?). All I know is it was horridly romantic and depressing and I refuse to watch anything featuring that anime now. I don't like to cry. ^.~
